Urban Rear Rack
Designed to fit two 18-packs of your favorite beer (or your lunch, laptop, groceries, etc...), this handy rear rack is ready to haul it all! Removable tie down rails give you somewhere to strap down loose loads, or pop them off to create a flat-bed rack that can handle those 3 XL pizzas you just ordered. One ride with this rack and you'll wonder how you ever managed to carry everything without it.

What We Think
This rear rack has a solid structure for carrying belongings. I personally rock this rear rack and matching Urban Front Rack on my Urban Commuter with the rails off to carry larger items that do not fit within the rails. If you prefer the rails on, it is easily attached back with 4 screws to help secure your gear. I recommend our Cargo Straps to further secure and strap down what you bring with you.
Bought this rack for a older pure cycles road bike from 2014ish. Knew it might not fit but with some minor material removal from the part that attached to the lower eyelets, got it to work and am very pleased.
Really like this rack. It is has enough room for my messenger bag with all my stuff for work. Can also fit some additional items if I stop to do some grocery shopping. Highly recommend this rack. Looking forward to getting the Urban Front Rack in black (when available) to complete the set.
Nice rack, needs parts
The rack itself is rather nice. I bought this with the intentions of making this my official "Beer Run Bike" and it will do that just fine. I was disappointed that the instructions say the two M6 bolts needed to attach the rack supports to the drop out eyelets are included (see attached picture), but were not included in my package. I had to rob my forks of their bolts to make it work. Now to go find two new bolts for the forks.
Good solid rack
Very good experience. The rack fit my Urban City bike perfectly and was easy to install. I use it for groceries mostly. I use padding since the bars are spaced apart and can bruise fruits and vegetable without padding.
This rear rack is sweet! It can and will hold whatever you could need. (Even a 30 rack) the only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star is because it really was a pain to get it installed on my retro bike (2 hours) and had to get exra parts to “jerry” rig it. however if you have a newer townie I think it would be much easier. So far I love it!
