What To Keep In Your Bike Bag -- The Musts!

Imagine this: You're gearing up for your ride, stretching out your legs, and thinking about what you should keep in your Pure Fix bag.  Most likely, there are a bunch of tools in front of you and you don't really know which ones should absolutely make the cut versus which ones you can leave at home and save your back from that added weight.  Well, you've come to the right place because I've made a list of the must haves for your bike bag!

Tube: Without a doubt, you'll want to keep at least one tube in your bike bag.  Whether it's for you or a fellow biker in need of a tube who you see along your way, it's a must.

Patch Kit: If you have a leaky tube, you'll definitely want to have a patch kit handy.  The kit makes it super easy to patch up your tube and will get you up and riding again in no time.

Pump: To keep the weight of your bag down, you'll want to bring along a sleek, mini pump much like this one

Tire Levers: You'll also want to bring two tire levers, which make it super easy to remove and install tires.

15mm Wrench: If you have to take off one of your wheels to change a flat tire, you'll want to be able to reach for this perfect combo wrench.

4, 5, 6 Hex Key: Some would say this is the best maintenance tool to carry in your bag, as you'll need it to tighten and loosen all the bolts on your bike.  As a pro tip, you'll want to tighten the bolts on your bike every few weeks, especially if you're riding often!

Helmet: Do I even need to elaborate?  Choose between our two awesome helmets (the Savant is shown above) and bring it with you on every ride!

Lights: Even if you don't expect to be riding at night, it's always a good idea to keep some lights either on your bike or in your bag at all times. Safety first, riders!

Lock: Last but certainly not least, a lock is certainly a must have bike bag item.  Never risk your bike getting stolen!

And there you have it, those are the absolute musts to include in your bag each time you ride!
