Catch 'Em All

Pokemon Go is taking the world by storm and the streets are bursting with trainers looking to catch ‘em all! Whether you grew up with the game or this is your first foray into the world of Pikachu and crew, one thing’s for sure: you want to be the very best!

In today’s post, we’ll look at the best ways to use your bike to help you on your quest!

Grab Your Bike

First thing’s first, you need a bike. Pokemon Go is all about getting outside and exploring and, if you played the original games, you know there’s no better way to get around than on a bike!

Don’t waste time trying to raise $1,000,000 (especially when you can only hold $999,999). Grab a bike voucher in Vermillion City, hit up your local bike shop, or have a bike built and delivered right to your door, ready for the hunt!

You’ll cover way more ground on two-wheels and that means more mileage out of your incense, less time between Poke Stops, and more time to focus on training!

Stay Charged With the Siva Atom

All that time on the move can be tough on your battery, but you don’t want to miss out on that Lapras just because your phone can’t hang. Until they figure out how to let us charge our phones with Electric-type Pokemon, make sure you have some backup for your battery.

The Siva Atom will keep you topped up for a full day of training. Every turn of the pedals charges the battery, so you can juice up every time you stop to tackle a Gym! Grab one for your bike, or choose a bike already equipped with the Atom and you’ll never have to worry about your hunt being cut short by a tired phone.

Get a Phone Mount HUD

Riding with a phone in your hand is a bit reckless for a trainer looking to make it big! Keep your hands on the bars and your eyes on the road by using a phone mount to give you a heads-up display of all the local Pokemon action. Especially useful for those slow rolls on the bike path where you can just tap, swipe, and capture – all with a single finger. No phone juggling required!

*Obviously you shouldn’t be playing in traffic. Be smart, be safe, and be the best.

Own the Night

There’s no better time to attack that Instinct-owned Gym than once the Sun’s gone down and the streets are empty. But you won’t catch many new poke-pals if you can’t see where you’re going. Light up your ride to keep you safe on the streets and help you navigate your way through the darkened city. Revolights are a great option in an Ash-appropriate color-scheme, so consider kitting out your ride with a pair or opting for a pre-built collab like the Revo-Juliet!

Start a Safari

And don’t go it alone! Whether you’re Team Mystic, Valor, or Instinct (yeah right), round up a crew and hit the streets together! It’s easier to take on gyms with a crew, more fun to hunt with your friends, and sharing lures means more Pokemon for everyone!

If you’re in LA this week, join Pure Cycle’s Racing Captain (and Pokemon fanatic) Jason on a Friday night Hollywood hunt or plan one of your own locally!

And if you need to stock up on Poke Balls and potions, swing by HQ for our Pop-Up Showroom Saturday! With a Poke Stop at each end of our parking lot and lures aplenty, we’re always finding the little dudes playing around on the bikes, parts, and accessories. Swing by and stock up!

Have a great weekend and happy hunting! We’ll hope to see you on Saturday.
